The development process, step by step
- Functional needs assessment and specification: We clarify the exact features, the user roles (for example admin, staff member, customer) and the data structure you need.
- Screen designs and logic outline: We review the structure of the screens and the data flow before any coding, so the layout does not have to be redesigned on a live system.
- Development phase (incremental build): I build the back end and the front end step by step. You can see the current state throughout development, so we can correct details right away.
- Testing and bug fixing: Thorough functional testing, permission checks and error handling setup.
- Deployment and handover: Moving the system to a live server, setting up the databases, and fully handing over the source code and access.
What does the handover include?
- The source code and runtime environment of the finished, tested software.

How we work and how it is priced
- Fixed project price: Once the specification is final, we work for a fixed price. There is no risk of runaway hourly fees.
- A practical freelancer's approach: I take on projects as a dedicated freelancer with realistic pricing. My focus is stable operation: if a more complex feature needs a few extra days of work or fine-tuning for quality, it does not increase the agreed project price.
- Server costs: Cloud hosting (for example a VPS), the domain and the database run on the client's own subscriptions. I fully help you choose and set up the most cost-effective server environment.
Frequently asked questions
Who owns the source code of the finished software and the data stored in it?
The source code and all data remain 100% the exclusive property of your company. When the project closes, I hand over the whole codebase (for example through GitHub / GitLab access), the technical documentation and the server access. There is no dependency or vendor lock-in: thanks to the clean architecture and version control, any other developer can take over or continue the work in the future.
What happens if a more complex feature delays the handover by a few days?
The agreed price does not change. We work with a fixed project price. When building custom software and internal systems, operational reliability and stability come first. If an unexpected technical obstacle, or the more thorough testing needed for flawless operation, takes 2–3 extra working days before going live, I take that time for the sake of quality, and it costs you nothing extra.
What running and server costs should I expect on top of the development fee?
The monthly fee of your own cloud server (a VPS, for example Hostinger or DigitalOcean) and the upkeep of the domain name. A smaller or mid-sized internal system, or a starting MVP, can typically be run stably and reliably for $5–12 a month. I help you choose the right cost-effective server and install everything.
For a mobile app, will it be published on Google Play and the App Store?
On request, yes, and I can help with setting up testing channels and with the upload process. This needs your own company Google Play Console account (a one-off 25 USD) or Apple Developer account (99 USD a year). If store presence is not essential, the system can also be built as a responsive web app (PWA) that installs straight from the browser onto the phone's home screen, which allows a much faster and cheaper start.
Do you offer support and further development after handover?
Yes. Software improves most through real use. After handover, under a service agreement, I offer ongoing server supervision, security and environment updates, and programming and adding any new features that come up.
